Yannis Kotziagkiaouridis is the global Chief Data & Analytics Officer at Edelman, where he drives the data strategy for the firm at large. Yannis oversees Edelman Data & Intelligence (DXI), the global, multidisciplinary organization that houses, develops, and manages the capabilities across research, data, analytics, and machine learning. In this capacity, Yannis manages the growth of over 350 research specialists, data scientists and engineers, machine-learning experts, and data strategy consultants based in 15 markets around the world in addition to working with Edelman’s biggest and most global clients.
Yannis joined Edelman from Wunderman Thompson, where he was most recently global Chief Analytics Officer. At Wunderman Thompson, Kotziagkiaouridis was responsible for driving A.I. and machine learning applications into content creation and media activation for some of the largest brands in the world.
Prior to joining Wunderman, Kotziagkiaouridis was vice president of CRM Analytics and Strategy at Merkle where he worked with some of the biggest direct to consumer brands in the world. Kotziagkiaouridis holds a Business Economics degree from Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, Greece, an MBA from the University of New Haven, and a Post-Master’s in Quantitative Analysis from Drexel University. Kotziagkiaouridis and his teams have garnered numerous awards, including Effies, Cannes Lion, and the Stevie’s, to name a few. Kotziagkiaouridis has been a speaker at I-COM, +Cartagena, Social Media Week, the 4A’s and IBM Think.
Yannis currently lives in diverse and cosmopolitan Dallas with his partner Paul, their two boys Luka and Niko, and their cocker spaniel Ollie. When he is not traveling the world connecting talent and evangelizing driving data with empathy, he spends time mentoring entrepreneurs in the fields of A.I. and Big Data.
