Kristen Coughlin

As the US Lead of DXI’s Human Intelligence practice, Kristen is a seasoned research practitioner, who contributes deeply to innovation across multi-disciplinary client solutions. Kristen is a longstanding contributor to the development of Edelman’s Trust Management framework. She sits at the forefront of trust innovation, linking trust to business impact and financial returns. Kristen has run trust measurement programs across Food & Beverage, Travel, Health, and Financial Services sectors, advising C-suite leaders on pathways to build trust.

Today, Kristen leads global AI and product Integration for DXI, launching go-to-market strategy for Edelman’s Trust Stream platform. Her product marketing and enablement efforts have placed AI-driven intelligence at the center of Edelman client advisory. An Edelman DXI veteran, Kristen rejoined the firm leadership in 2016, after successful contributions mid-career. She scaled the Chicago DXI team to rapid client growth, building a culture of curiosity and collaboration. In 2022, she was named US Lead for Human Intelligence.

Kristen is a multi-disciplinary research practitioner, who is trained in survey analytics, focus group moderation, social listening, competitive intelligence, and statistical modelling. Prior to DXI, Kristen led analytics programs at IEG, a WPP sports marketing agency. She led customer satisfaction studies and began her career at two Washington DC-based polling firms.

A Michigan native, Kristen lives in Chicago with her husband and son. She is a devoted football fan for her alma matter: the University of Michigan, and an avid tennis player.
