Anita Valdes serves as U.S. Head of Data and Intelligence for Edelman DXI where she oversees data-led strategies for the firm’s largest and fastest-growing U.S. clients. She plays a key role in Edelman’s global market research, advanced analytics and performance marketing capabilities, driving the infusion of data and AI as core to Edelman’s value proposition. Valdes serves as a member of Edelman DXI’s global leadership and the Edelman U.S. operating committee.
Leveraging her integrated marketing and communications experience and innovative approach to client management, Valdes leads the cross-disciplinary Edelman DXI U.S. team and partners to continue the accelerated growth and adoption of data, research, and technology solutions across the U.S. client portfolio. She also oversees talent strategy and development of the rapidly growing Edelman DXI US team.
Based in New York, Valdes is a true industry veteran, with prior posts at Ogilvy, Kantar, and GroupM. Valdes joins Edelman DXI from Red Fuse Communications, a WPP entity working in service of Colgate-Palmolive, where she led a large, highly diversified, and integrated insights and media team.
Valdes’ expertise spans research, advertising, and media, with a particular focus on CPG. Over the course of her career, she has led data and insights strategy for Mondelez, Kraft Foods, Unilever, P&G, and AB InBev in addition to Colgate-Palmolive.
Valdes holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Franklin & Marshall College, and an MBA in International Business from American University. She has been invited to speak on panels, judge at events such as the Effie’s, and she is an alumnus of WPP’s prestigious X-Factor Women’s Leadership Program.
Outside of her work life, Valdes guest lectures and is on the Board of Advisors at Sacred Heart University’s School of Communication and Media Arts.
